FCUSA National Cup (Jun 2019)

SCCSA would like to congratulate our Boys Dragons ‘05 for winning the u15 (2004) Championship for the FCUSA National Cup. The team challenged their selves this weekend and played up a year in the tournament, going undefeated on the weekend, displaying a raised level of physicality, and allowing just 1 goal on their way to the championship. After moving onto the championship match via PK’s (4-2) the team secured the title by besting the Bridgewater Soccer Academy 2004 Boys in the final 2-0. It was a complete team effort the entire weekend. Congrats to the players, coaches, and supporters on an outstanding weekend of soccer!

EPYSA State Challenge Cup (Jun 2019)

The SCCSA Dragons '08 (BU11) saved perhaps their best game of the year for the State Cup finals beating a tough, physical Brandywine FC team 4-0. Brandywine FC came out strong but the Dragon defense eventually took over the game and some brilliant goals followed shortly leaving the Dragons with a 3-0 halftime lead. The objective of the second half was to win five minutes at a time and again after a slow start the boys applied their tremendous skills and game savvy eventually leading to the fourth goal and a State Cup Championship. The Dragons had to win 7 games to take the title outscoring their opponents 37-4 and shutting out five of their seven opponents.

Beach Blitz (May 2019)

Both teams enjoyed a victory swim in the ocean after a long day in the sun.

Winter Futsal (Feb 2019)

Congratulations to our Dragons 08 for finishing as CHAMPIONS in their U11 Futsal Division at United Sports. Great job guys!

A Hybrid Fire 08 and Burn 08 team competed together in a 7 game Futsal league at USTC this winter season. Team Black went unbeaten through 7 games during regular season against good opposition. They played in the finals this morning vs Penn Fusion predators who had also been unbeaten and topped the table.  Team Black played terrifically today on defense which helped create a lot of mistakes from Penn Fusion and allowed Team Black to comfortably win the finals 7-2. Peter and Tito played fantastic in goal, Lachlan the wall was impenetrable at the back, the speed demons of Sully, jimmy and Peyton out wide and attacking skills of Noah up top all season were great to watch. Special thanks to all guest players we had throughout the season and Anthony who helped the team out!

The 08 Boys Fire team played in the West Mont United Indoor 7 vs 7 tournament series. the team played fantastically winning the first game 5-1 against rivals West mont 08 with a fantastic passing game and clinical finishing. the second game easily winning 10-1 against West Mont 07 was an extension of what they had done in the previous game.  The Third and final game would be the tournament decider vs PVSC 08 Panthers after panthers won their first two games 3-1 and 3-1. It was a close game with SCCSA going up 1-0 early thanks to an goal in the opening minutes only to draw level 1-1 not long after. SCCSA went 2-1 up halfway through the game with a quickly taken free kick that caught the Panthers unaware. A defensive lapse saw The Panthers level the game 2-2 with 5 mins left on the clock. With a minute to go SCCSA was awarded a penalty shot to clinch the win but narrowly missed and that saw the final whistle blow. SCCSA and Panthers were both equal on points with 7 each but the Fire with a much superior +9 Goal difference claimed the tournament win and started their Spring season off well. A Big congratulations to all the Boys for a well played tournament and good luck for the rest of the season

EPYSA Indoor State Cup (Feb 2019)

The Boys Dragons '10 finished as runners-up in the EPYSA Indoor State Cup (U9 Boys Challenge Blue Division) after a heartbreaking dramatic 1-0 score in sudden death penalties, which followed a well-played scoreless battle against Boyertown Arsenal '10 in the Finals. Ben Nowland, Griffin Horst and Colin Sabado led the scoring, and a stellar defense featuring strong goalkeeping efforts from Owen Topmiller, Phillip Paoletti and Colin Sabado garnered a +11 Goal Differential through the tournament (14 goals scored against only 3 conceded). While the ultimate finish was disappointing, the boys are proud of their effort at the tournament and now understand better the level of play and effort required to achieve this type of success... we wish them well as they approach their Spring season!
